We have partnered with Nexbillpay to extend an additional payment option for customers interested in using their check, debit card, or credit card to pay their bill. Nexbillpay is a trusted third-party automated payment service that allows you to pay your bill online.
- What is the service fee?
Nexbillpay charges a small service fee to cover payment handling and all processing charges. A service fee will be calculated and disclosed prior to finishing your payment.
- Does Lincoln County Board of Public Utilities keep any part of the service fee?
Lincoln County Board of Public Utilities does not keep any part of the Nexbillpay service fee. Nexbillpay is a separate entity providing a service for all the customers of Lincoln County Board of Public Utilities.
When you receive your confirmation of a completed transaction, this does not mean that the utility has confirmation that the payment has cleared. This may take up to 72 hours from the time you make the payment.
You may pay up to the due date listed on your bill without paying a penalty. After this date you will be assessed the late fee shown on your bill. You may pay up to 72 hours prior to the scheduled cutoff date without further penalties.
If you choose to pay during the final 72 hours prior to the schedule cutoff date, your water will be cut off and you will be assessed a $30 reconnect fee.
We encourage you to make your payment in person at our payment center during the 72 hours prior to scheduled cut-off to ensure timely credit to your account and thus avoid the $30 reconnect fee.
If you are attempting to pay a Bad Debt Account please do not pay online, you MUST contact Lincoln County Board of Public Utilities.
